Entry into Pre-Nursery and Nursery
We are proud to operate a transparent and inclusive first-come, first-served entry process for children joining us at Pre-Nursery and Nursery level.
This approach ensures fairness and accessibility for all families. Due to high demand and limited places, we strongly recommend early registration to secure your child’s place.
Once an offer has been made and accepted, we’ll work closely with you to support a smooth transition. Induction visits will be arranged near your child’s start date, giving them the opportunity to explore their new environment, meet our caring staff, and begin to feel at home. Children are eligible to start in Pre-Nursery in the September following their second birthday, giving them a gentle and supportive introduction to school life from an early age.
Entry into Reception
The majority of our Nursery children automatically transfer into our Reception class, benefiting from a seamless transition within a familiar environment. This continuity allows children to build on strong early foundations with confidence and ease.
On the rare occasion that a place becomes available in Reception for an external applicant, we welcome enquiries from families looking for a nurturing and stimulating start to their child’s school life.
Our admissions process is designed to be gentle, welcoming, and supportive for both children and parents.
As part of the process, external applicants will:
- Be invited for a Taster Session
- Take part in a short, informal assessment
- Receive an offer of a place if successful
- Attend an induction morning in the summer term
This process ensures that every child joining us is well-prepared, excited, and ready to begin their Reception journey with confidence.
