Nursery Education Funding (NEF)

*** Parents of three and four year old children are entitled to the 15 free hours of Nursery Education Funding (NEF), payable from the term after a child’s third birthday until the term of their fifth birthday. NEF is paid for three hours in one half day session. A maximum of 15 hours per week is payable for up to five sessions.  Parents are therefore responsible for paying any outstanding costs. The NEF can only be claimed at one setting and must be declared. Missed Pre-Nursery and Nursery sessions cannot be substituted for another session and are non-refundable. The Pre-Nursery and Nursery rooms operate for 36 weeks a year / term time only.

Basic school fees also include dance lessons (Reception upwards), swimming lessons (when timetabled), morning break drinks and healthy snack (EYFS), recorder lessons (Upper School), drama lessons (Upper School) and additional examination preparation materials (Y5 and Y6).

Late Payment

Simple interest may be charged on a monthly basis on fees which are unpaid. The rate of interest charged will be at 4% (plus VAT) per month accruing on a monthly basis. The Parents shall also be liable to pay all costs, fees, disbursements and charges including legal fees and costs reasonably incurred by the School in the recovery of any unpaid fees regardless of the value of the School’s claim.

Monthly Instalments

Fees may be paid by standing order in 3 equal monthly instalments per term. An administration charge of 2% (plus vat) will be added to fees paid by standing order. An additional 4% (plus VAT) charge will be payable on any late payments. Please indicate to the school if you wish to pay by this method.

Childcare Voucher Schemes

Vouchers from employers’ schemes are accepted for Early Club, After School Club, Holiday Club, School Fees (Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception until aged 5), Peripatetic Music Lessons, Residential Visits and Extra-Curricular School Activities which are payable to Newbridge Preparatory School.

Parents’ Association Family Subscription

A small contribution of £10 per year for membership is added to the Autumn Term invoice.

Entry into Reception Offer of a place and Guarantee Deposit

A deposit (Guarantee Deposit) of £250 for the Reception year will be payable when parents accept the offer of a place into Reception. The Guarantee Deposit will be repaid by means of a credit without interest to the first Term’s Fees of Reception unless stated otherwise in the school’s terms and conditions.

Fee Increases

Fees are reviewed annually and are subject to increase as required to ensure our income is sufficient to meet the budget.
