School Council organised a Harvest Collection of ’Brand New Clothes’ for the Good Shepherd Relief in Need (Registered Charity No: 1177783.) Thank you to all of the children from Nursery through to Year Six who contributed so beautifully to our Harvest Assemblies – what lovely messages your songs, poems and plays conveyed.
Last night we had collected:
- 18 vests
- 153 pairs of pants
- 7 sets of pyjamas
- 94 pairs of socks
- 7 pairs of tights
- 4 pairs of wellington boots
- 7 coats
- 12 pairs of leggings
- 23 tops/t-shirts
- 20 sweatshirts
- 7 dresses
- 27 woolly hats
- 11 scarves
- 35 pairs of gloves
We have received further donations this morning and they are still coming in this afternoon. I can not thank you enough for your generosity. Mrs Reany will be visiting Upper School next Wednesday to talk to the girls in Upper School and collect the donations. Whilst we were in their Harvest Assemblies this morning I received an email from her and she mentioned she was just packing for a mother and five children in a house with nothing; made homeless due to domestic violence. So thank you!
